This Halloween 2009 Why Not Dress in a Mermaid Costume!

Halloween, my favorite holiday, is right around the corner and preparations are in progress. Some are only in the planning mode while others, the early birds, are already taking action. And there is, oh, so much to do! I, for instance, have already acquired my mermaid costumes for women!

Preparing for Halloween is filled with excitement for the young and the old and the in-between, mainly because everyone gets to live out a fantasy for the day. Trips to pumpkin patches need to be made and the perfect pumpkins need to be selected. And while there, a bunch of photos are taken to commemorate the occasion and to show grandma and grandpa how much we’ve grown in relations to this year’s pumpkins. One pumpkin is relinquished to mom so that she will bake her famous pumpkin pie. Yummy! – The remaining pumpkins will be carved into Jack-o-Lanterns but first dad must dig out the pumpkin carving tools and search through the Internet for cool patterns. – The girls want theirs carved into Mickey Mouse or Cinderella while the boys want monsters and demons.

The entire house is then decorated with cobwebs and spiders, and an assortment of effigies for witches on their brooms, black cats in their attack modes, flying bats, floating ghosts and haunted mentions.

And then comes the part that is most fun for everyone — the costumes. This year the boys want to be supermen and firefighters while dad wants to be a Roman emperor. Mom and the girls want to be mermaids.

So, everyone rushes to dad’s computer and click their way directly to Buy Costumes because they already know that there they will find the largest selection at the most competitive prices.

They find costumes for dad and the boys in record time but mom and the girls take their time to do some earnest shopping as only women can. The mermaid costumes for women are labeled with interesting names such as “Leg Avenue Glittery Mermaid Costume,” “Adult Sexy Mesmerizing Mermaid Costume,” “Sexy Adult Dark Mermaid Costume,” “Deluxe in Character Mermaid Costume,” “Sexy Sequin Mermaid Siren Sea Nymph Halloween Costume,” “Adult Little Mermaid Costume,” “Sea Goddess Elite Mermaid Costume,” “Little Mermaid Costume for Women,” “Adult Women’s Mermaid Costume,” “Ladies Little Mermaid Halloween Costume,” and so on and on and on.

The girls decide that they want to be “Little Mermaids” and so does mom. But dad begs mom to get the “Goddess of the Sea” costume so mom gives in to him, as mom usually does.

Orders for costumes are placed along with a bunch of appropriate accessories and now begins the anxious waiting for the packages to arrive.

Once again, Halloween will be ever so much fun with oodles of excitement and cheer!
