Mermaids are truly wonderful creatures – The mermaid, or syrenka, is the symbol of Warsaw, Poland – my home town. Images of a mermaid have been used on the crest of Warsaw as its symbol since the middle of the 14th century. Maybe next year I will try one of these wonderful costumes!
When I think about mermaid costumes I am reminded of that episode of Beverly Hills 90210 where Donna dresses as a mermaid but can hardly walk or sit. The mermaid costumes on this site are very pretty but look much more practical!
